Development of team and department skills in managing diversity. <br />Team members will be able to effectively: <br />• 5trategize and plan together approaches to effective diversity management in order to <br />maximize successful customer service within their department. <br />• Discern customer service issues that are related to diversity and cultural difference and <br />those that are not, and to shape appropriate responses. <br />• Manage inter and intra-departmental issues related to diversity and cultural difference. <br />• Discern departmental matters that are related to diversity and cultural difference and <br />those that are not. <br />• Develop appropriate resolutions and approaches to inter and intra-departmental matters <br />related to diversity and cultural difference <br />2. Building employee skills in managing conflict and raising difficult issues. <br />Employees will be able to: <br />• Listen to the concerns of co-workers without judgment, blame or criticism. <br />• Express their concerns to other co-workers without judgment, blame or criticism. <br />• Acknowledge and respect differences that occur among them. <br />• Articulate and bridge those differences with respect. <br />3.
