Gattis, Acting Clerk <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />March 5, 1968 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session on Tuesday, <br />March 5, 1968 in the Court room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina <br />at 8 P.M. <br />Members Present. Chairman Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. Ray, <br />Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward. <br />Members Absent. Commissioner Carl M. Smith. <br />This meeting was held for the purpose of discussing the reclassification of New <br />Hope Creek. <br />B. B. Olive, attorney, spoke in support of the reclassification of New Hope Creek <br />from a Grade D stream to a Grade B stream. <br />Professor J. R..Bailey, Professor Don Livingston and Professor Weston LaBarre <br />of the Duke University staff, Burnice Rose, William Waller and Dallas Branch all spoke <br />in support of the reclassification of said stream. Pearson Stewart, Direotor <br />of the Research Triangle Regional Planning Commission, also spoke. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was <br />adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
