2000 BUY RECYCLED GRANT CYCLE <br />SCOFE OF WORK <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />Contract dates: June 1, 2000 to May 31, 2001 <br />The Scope of Work for this project is as follows: <br />1. Prepare and send to the Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance a work <br />plan for the project within thirty (30) days after the contract has been signed. The work plan <br />shall include a complete project schedule. <br />2. Survey in-house departments about buy-recycled practices and develop a system to track <br />recycled content purchases that by-pass the Town of Chapel Hill and Orange County's Finance <br />. Departments. <br />3. Conduct a training workshop for all Town, County and school system personnel on <br />purchasing practices and policy development. Invite vendors of recycled content <br />products to showcase materials to the attendees. <br />4. Prepare and distribute resolutions for other Orange County governments and public school <br />systems to adopt policies encouraging the purchase of recycled content goods. <br />5. Provide a cash match to the project of at least 10% of the grant funds provided by the Division of <br />Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance. <br />6. Upon request, make information about the grant project available to other parties who maybe <br />considering a similar project. <br />7. Ensure that all publications produced as a result of this grant award are printed double-sided, on <br />recycled paper (minimum of 30% post-consumer content) and explicitly state: "Funding for <br />this project was provided in part through a grant from the Division of Pollution Prevention and <br />Environmental Assistance, North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources." <br />8. Prepare a final report, printed double-sided on recycled paper (minimum 30% post-consumer <br />content), to be submitted to the Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance <br />on or before May 31, 2001. Submit a draft copy of the report, printed double-sided on recycled <br />paper (minimum 30% post-consumer co'ntent), to the Division of Pollution Preventiox! and <br />Environmental Assistance for review on or before Apri130, 2001. <br />2000 Buy Recycled Grant Cycle Scope of Work ~ Orange County Page 1 <br />
