3 <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />August 15, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />University Service Availability Fees <br />OWASA staff has been meeting with University officials during the past <br />year to attempt to resolve this matter, but discussions have been <br />unsuccessful to date. Staff is continuing to meet with University officials to <br />seek a resolution. <br />Clean Water Management Trust Fund (CWMTF) <br />OWASA executed a grant agreement with the CWMTF in July 1998, which <br />provided up to $1,042,500 to pay the casts of acquiring land and <br />conservation easements within 300 feet of the Cane Creek Reservoir or <br />within 300 feet of any tributaries to the reservoir. To date, OWASA has <br />purchased approximately 169 acres in fee simple and approximately 130 <br />acres of conservation easements for a total cost of $1,524,069, of which <br />$809,463 is eligible for reimbursement. <br />
