Gattis, Acting Clerk ~ <br />--------------------------------------- _---__------------- e ---------------------- <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />February 20, 1968 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session on Tuesday, <br />February 20, 1968 in the Commissioners' Room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North. <br />Carolina at 2.30 P.M. <br />Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray <br />and Henry S. Walker. <br />Members Absent: Commissioners Carl M. Smith and Ira A. Ward. <br />This special meeting was called for the purpose of opening bids for the orange <br />County Welfare Building. The place of meeting, after the convening of this special <br />meeting, it was moved that the meeting reconvene in the Assembly Room of the County <br />Agriculture Building. <br />All bids submitted were publioally open and the following low bids were announced: <br />General Contract - Van Thomas $141,990.00 <br />Heating Contract - Perry Electrical Company $13,600.00 <br />Plumbing Contract - Suggs Plumbing Company $8,090.00 <br />Electrical Contract - Perry Electrical Company $12,600.00 <br />Discussion ensued concerning these bids. It was moved that the above listed <br />contracts be awarded and Chairman Bennett was authorized to sign the contracts, <br />after same were approved by the County Attorney. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was <br />adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
