The intent is to provide a standard "look and feel" for <br />the Orange County web site that reflects the progressiveness and diversity of the community. In doing <br />sa, BTS will develop standard style templates and graphics that will: <br />• Convey the true essence and mindset of Orange County. <br />• Standardize and increase efficiency of the site navigation (main and department pages). <br />• Facilitate timely and efficient updates and maintenance. <br />• Ensure compliance with the NC Technical Architecture and web design standards adapted by ITS. <br />Item Business Reciuirements <br />1 Develop standard web style templates for the home page and departmental web sites. This <br />includes but is not limited to Site Navigation and supporting graphics far the home page, <br />departments, and Intranet site(s). <br />2 Review existing content and modify the information accordingly to reflect the current services <br />provided by the County <br />3 Ensure smaller departments establish a web presence on the intemet site <br />4 Streamline maintenance process and introduce the use of automated tools for ongoing support <br />6 Provide mechanism for calendar updates <br />7 Allow for on-line access to and submission of forms (e.g., volunteer applications) <br />$ Provide hosting and maintenance support services for the Internet site compatible with the <br />existing IT infrastructure of Orange County <br />9 Identify and track standard web statistics to effectively monitor site activity <br />10 Define technical and functional requirements to support a bilingual web site <br />PC516V4.DOC -- OC Internet FINAL <br />
