2 <br />A professional video production would provide new employees and board and commission <br />members with a clearer understanding of the range of services provided by the County. A <br />presentation on videotape would be easier to transport and could be presented on equipment <br />available at most meeting facilities. This video could also be used as an educational and <br />public relations tool to inform citizens about the wide variety of County services. Unlike the <br />existing slide show, it would be appropriate for broadcast on cable access television and for <br />presentation to community and civic groups, and the schools. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The total cost of the production would not exceed $19,830. Funding, <br />approved in prior fiscal years, is available in the Connecting Orange County Capital Project. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept the proposal <br />from Horizon Video Productions, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $19,830 and authorize the <br />Manager to execute the contract upon satisfactory review of the staff and the County Attorney. <br />
