STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />LEASE AND FACILITIES USE <br />AGREEMENT RENEWAL <br />WHEREAS a lease agreement was made and entered into as of the 11"' day of November, 1993 by and <br />between the County of Orange (County) and the Friends of the Chapel Hill Senior Center (Friends) for <br />space to be used at the Chapel Hill Senior Center, Elliott Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; <br />WHEREAS, the County and the Friends mutually agree to the following: <br />1. The lease renewal will be continued for a period commencing on July 1, 2000 through 12:00 <br />midnight on June 30, 2006; <br />2. Section 4 of the Lease and Facilities Use Agreement dated November 16, 1993 shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"Rent. During the term of this lease Friends shall pay County rent as follows: <br />July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001 $36,474 <br />July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 $38,298 <br />July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003 $40,213 <br />July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004 $42,223 <br />July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 $44,334 <br />July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006 $46,551 <br />Rent shall be paid by Friends to County in monthly installments on or before the first day of <br />each month, in advance, and without deduction or set-off whatsoever." <br />3.
