recommended further revisions be made and brought back to the May 4, 2000, Planning Board <br />meeting: <br />o Delete provision allowing exceptions for more than 10 lots on a private road; <br />o Firm language dealing with private road justification to more specific criteria; and <br />o Delete provision requiring paved private roads to meet NCD~T standards for paving. <br />May 4, 2000, the Planning Board voted five (5) to three (3) to approve the amendments. Board <br />members voting against the amendments cited their disapproval of the provision requiring <br />greater building setbacks in order to justify having a private road. <br />Final Action: Board of Commissioners to consider amendments to the Orange County <br />Subdivision Regulations. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S) Planning Board Recommendation: Approval of the proposed <br />amendments as given in the attached document. <br />3 <br />Administration Recommendation: Approval of the proposed amendments as given in the <br />attached document. <br />
