Home and Community Care Block Grant Funding <br />Comparison for FY 1999-2000 and FY 2000-2001 <br />Programs Grant Proposed Block <br /> Funding Grant Funding FY <br /> FY-1999-2000 2000-2001 <br />JOCCA <br />Congregate Nutrition <br />JOCCA has six Congregate Meal Sites located in $105,395. $105,395 <br />Orange County. In 1996, over 42,000 meals were <br />served to 4S0 participants. A site manager is located at <br />each site and is responsible for the daily operation of <br />nutrition programs and meals. There are also. three <br />coordinators of .services responsible for the <br />coordination, outreach, referral and provision of services <br />to low-income families and individuals. These services <br />include, but are not limited to weatherization, housing <br />rehabilitation assistance, financial emergency assistance, <br />Older Workers Pro am, and information and referral. <br />DSS <br />In-Home Aid Services $ 34,477 $ 34,477 <br />Home and Community Block Grant enables low- <br />income, minority individuals to .defer or prevent <br />institutionalization by providing quality services to meet <br />basic needs. These services include the performance of <br />essential home management and personal care tasks <br />rendered under uidance and su ervision. <br />Agin <br />Senior Center Operations $ 56,777 $ 56,777 <br />Grant funds pay a portion of the salaries of the Facility <br />Managers at the four multi-purpose Senior Centers <br />o erated b the D artment on A 'n . <br />Trans ortation <br />Daily Fixed route transportation is provided for seniors $ 73,396 $ 73,397 <br />to attend activities at the four Centers and two <br />community centers that house the JOCCA Nutrition <br />Programs sites in Orange County. <br />
