23 <br />Town of Chapel Hill <br />:.. <br />Greenways Commission .. <br />12/8/99 <br />Voted unanimously that Town Council adopt <br />Work Grou Re ort <br />Recreation and Parks 12/15/99 and Recommend Town Council adopt report as <br />Commission 2/2/2000 general planning tool, expressed concerns <br /> (2/2) about Town residents priority for <br /> programs with the Open Facilities Policy, <br /> unified standards for all jurisdictions, and <br /> lighting of playing fields -along with County <br /> fundin for Town recreation o ratin costs. <br />Chapel Hill Town Council (4/10/00): Adopted Open Facilities Policy and <br />several recommendations from the report (including coordinated land <br />acquisitions on a case-by-case basis), asked that a Working Committee be <br />formed to further discuss the proposed Intergovernmental Parks Work Group <br />(Parks Council), and asked that equity issues raised in staff report be considered. <br /> <br />Orange County <br />:, ~. <br />Commission for the 10/il and Supportive of program and recommendations. <br />Environment 11/8 Would like representation on Parks Council and <br /> role in preservation of natural areas within <br /> rks. <br />Recreation and Parks 8/24/99 <br />' Expressed support for program, and asked <br />Commission '~ about the role the RPAC would play with the <br /> ro sed Parks Council. <br />Plannin .Board 12`.1/99 No comments. <br />Agricultural Districts Advisory 1/j:9/00 Expressed general support for program.
