22 <br />Review and Comments on the <br />joint Master Recreation and Parks Work Group Report <br />4/12/00 <br />Town of Carrboro <br /> <br />:~. ~ <br />Planning Board ~. <br />8/24/99 <br />Support the nine recommendations, develop <br /> aggressive schedule for land acquisition and <br /> consider interconnecting greenways between <br /> Oran a and nei hborin counties. <br />Recreation and Parks 8/24/99 Recommend approval of the recommendations, <br />Commission - but ask Managers to meet to develop mission <br /> and charge of "Parks Council", note that a <br /> countywide standard for recreation need not be <br /> a standard for each jurisdiction, and <br /> .acknowledge other parks costs beyond land for <br /> future bonds <br />Environmental Advisory Board 8/24/99 Recommend approval of program, and that <br /> EAB have early input into any design of park <br /> that would change existing natural areas, and . <br /> that guidelines for greenways/paths be <br /> develo ed with Public Works Parks and Rec. <br />Carrboro Board of Aldermen (2/22/00): Adopted, Open Facilities Policy, <br />expressed support for findings of the report, and asked that comments from the <br />Town advisory boards be incorporated into the report, to be returned after <br />consideration by all of the jurisdictions. <br />Hillsborough Board of Commissioners (3/13/00): Expressed general <br />support for program and in particular, cooperative ventures. Asked about County <br />process for allocation of band moneys for parkland.
