71 <br />OWASA is willing to serve as a liaison between ASC and CAQE during the <br />implementation of the understandings and agreements that have been negotiated in this <br />Memorandum of Agreement. <br />XI. COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT. <br />Beyond the steps presented elsewhere in this document designed to minimize the <br />~~ <br />disturbance to citizens in the neighborhood of its quarry, ASC further agrees to the <br />following; <br />a. ASC will donate to the County or OWASA ten (10) acres on the northeast <br />side of the property to be used as a community pazk. ASC will donate to the <br />County or OWASA the sum of $15,000 per yeaz each and every year <br />throughout the course of the mining process. The purpose of this donation is <br />to construct and maintain amenities at the pazk. OWASA will work with the <br />County to ensure that the property is properly operated and maintained. ASC <br />shall not have any responsibility for the operation or maintenance of this park. <br />b.-;Over the course of the mining lease and until quarrying ceases ASC will <br />contribute to community projects up to $5,000 per year in funds or in kind <br />donations of stone. ASC and CAQE will create a procedure by which people <br />living within the area shown on Exhibit 2 can submit proposals for these <br />community project funds. These funds will not accumulate from yeaz to year, <br />but the parties may agree on a charity whereby the balance of unused funds in <br />any given year will be donated in the event that the full total of such funds is <br />
