aI <br />NCHFA HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAMS -_ Energy Standards <br />S.0 MisceIlaneaus Requirements <br />S.1 To the maximum practicable extent, excessive moisture in crawlspaces or <br />basements shall be eliminated, Remedial measures may include faundation/footing <br />drainage systems, sealing plumbing penetrations, water proofng foundations below <br />grade, gutter systems, and/or sump pumps. All accessible crawlspace area must have <br />continuous 6-10 mil poly ground cover, wall to wall. <br />$.2 If exterior pole lighting installation is 'indicated (as in the case of multi-unit <br />rental projects) metal halide, mercury vapor or Iow- ar high-pressure radium lighting <br />should be used.
