Where new doors or <br />replacement doors aze indicated, R-7 (minimum) insulated doors with double silicone <br />weatherstripping and energyefficient thresholds are preferred. All lights (windows in <br />doors) shall be double-glazed. <br />4.2 1411 exterior doors shall have thresholds if feasible. Defective thresholds shall <br />be repaired, if practicable, ar replaced. New/replacement thresholds shall be either of <br />the following types: 1) A metal body with a vinyl insert that contacts the bottom of <br />the door for the entire length of the threshold or width of the door; or, 2) A metal <br />saddle with a door shoe on the bottom of the door.
