5 <br />TIMELINE . <br />Phase One <br />lat year~~-Projected startup date; January 2000 <br />1. Educational plan development, implementation of community <br />awareness, and module development -See attached plan <br />2. ~ Define homeowner incentives - <br />3. Begin search and submit applications for startup monies from <br />federal and state agencies for re-inspections and possible <br />revolving fund monies for repairs of failing systems <br />Staffing required: One full-time health educator <br />2"d year <br />1. Education plan continues -sessions for individuals and <br />targeted groups . <br />2. Random inspection sampling to .assess need for full program of <br />re-inspections -sampling to be drawn from ezisting system <br />inspections completed in the normal course of applications <br />received in the Environmental Health office <br />3. Complete final framework for re-inspections and frequency of <br />re-inspections <br />4. Finalize funding mechanisms for program continuation <br />5. Continue funding search for repair of failing systems (if <br />needed) <br />Staffing required: Half-time GLS/database position <br />Phase Two <br />3`~, 4~` and 5n years <br />1. Ongoing education to individuals <br />Z. Complete first round of educational efforts to targeted groups <br />3. Begin re-inspections <br />4. Have revolving fund monies, if available, in place for grants or <br />low interest loans to repair failing systems discovered during <br />re-inspections <br />Staffing required: 1 full-time Registered Sanitarian <br />
