ep0K I FACE 51 <br />Upor_ motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Walker, the County <br />Accountant was authorized to proceed with the publication, of a tax brochure which <br />will be ;nailed with all tax bills. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Walker, it was <br />moved and adopted, that Giovanni.vichol of Eno Townshio be appointed as a member <br />of the County Planning Board for a three year term effectiv <br />1967. e as of September 28, <br />Dalton Loftin was present to discuss with the Board the position and salary <br />relative to the acceptance of the appointment as Judge or the Recorders Court. <br />Mr_ Loftin stated that his firm would not consider the apcointment unless the <br />salary of $150.00 per court day was rendered for said service. Bennett, Chairman <br />MIRUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />September 25, 1967 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, <br />September 25, 1967 at eight o'clock p.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse <br />in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. Ray, <br />Carl M. Smith, Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward. <br />Members absent: None <br />Also present were officials of the Town of Mebane. <br />This meeting was held at the request of the Mebane Town Officials. Discussion <br />ensued concerning the request of the Town of Mebane relative to the possibility <br />of Orange County changing the requested sewerage tap fee in order that a new plant <br />South of Mebane might tap the sewerage line now owned by Orange County. The Board <br />of Commissioners agreed that the designated sewerage tap fee would not be-changed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Ray, it was moved <br />and adopted that the County Administrator be authorized to activate a portion of the <br />Mental Health Program, approved in the 1967-1968 budget, if authorization and <br />approval was received from Dr. 0. David Garvin, District Health Officer, and Dr. <br />W. T. Edgerton of the UNC School of Psychia:-'ry, The portion of the Mental Health <br />Program which would be activated is that portion which would be operated by the UNC <br />School of Psychology. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
