July 14,1999 <br />Objective 4: <br />16 <br />To educate septic system pumpers regarding measurement of biosolids and indicated pumping, <br />Year 2 <br />Educate 5% of pumpers. <br />Establish voluntary `prefem ed list" for those completing training. <br />Ensure 100% complete training evaluation. <br />Conduct survey with at least 50% of pumpers to establish baseline data regarding the frequency <br />of checking vs. pumping. <br />Survey 20% of homeowners to identify frequency of pumping, <br />Use OWASA dumping slips to track pumping. <br />Year 3 <br />Same as above. <br />Follow-up with pumpers to assess utilization of forms and check changes in pumping/checking <br />behavior. <br />Meares: <br />Number trained. <br />Number on preferred list. <br />Participation in pumpers survey/ frequency of pumping. <br />Participation in homeowner survey regarding pumping frequency. <br />Objective 5: <br />To educate the wastewater system operators and management entities to accept septage and <br />support only appropriate transactions. <br />Year 2 <br />Send informational packet to 100% of operatics. <br />Meet with 100'/0 of operators to ensure policies are umderstood. <br />Establish a method (working with the operators) of lracldng transactions in frequency and <br />appropriateness (e.g. form for record keeping, sign-in information etc.). <br />ear 3 <br />Follow-up with operators to identify system changes. <br />Identify other training needs. <br />Mea.?aes: <br />Number trained (% of operator systems employees trained). <br />Use of record keeping system by pumpers and operators.
