July 14,1999 <br />12 <br />It is suggested that representatives from each of the target audiences participate in the <br />development of the module. Also, it would be very valuable to recruit volunteers from each <br />target audience group to train others and act as liaisons for information. These volunteers can be <br />trained by the health educator to teach the educational modules. These individuals will be health <br />department staff, community volunteers and representatives from the target audiences. <br />The program materials necessary to complete the educational plan (developed or adapted from <br />other source) (see examples): <br />1. Homeowner guide (volume 1- basic and, volume 2 -certification) <br />2. Tip sheet (to be posted in garage/shed) <br />3. Brochure for community distribution <br />4. Flyers for Information Day <br />5. Outline for presentations to Civic groups/organizations <br />6. Follow-up survey for homeowners (after training) <br />7. Five (5) question teaser for school/utility mailing <br />8. Newspaper articles <br />9. Sample forms <br />10.
