Funds for arts programming <br /> reflect the diversity of Orange County. Each artist and arts organization receiving an Orange <br /> County Arts Commission grant matches the award with local dollars. The board of the Orange <br /> County Arts Commission reviews all grant requests and determines the successful recipients. <br /> The BOCC presented the 2001 Spring Arts Grant Awards in November, 2001, and the current <br /> awards constitute the Fall 2001 Arts Grant Awards. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funds ($14,988) are provided by Orange County for distribution by the <br /> Arts Commission. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board acknowledge the local <br /> recipients of the awards during the February 19, 2002 meeting with the presentation of checks <br /> by the Board Chair, Barry Jacobs. <br />
