Benedict,ext.25a2 <br /> Babe Stencil,Sit Bob Jones, em. 2661 <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br /> Hillaborough 7326181 <br /> Chapel Hill AWASH <br /> Domain 6884331 <br /> Mebane (336)22]-0031 <br /> PURPOSE: To hear a brief repoononthe status of the PlL regulation as it relates to its present <br /> standards of dedication of land for public sites or payment-In-lust of dedication <br /> atlon. <br /> BACKGROUND: Section IV-B-7 of the Subdivision code entitled"Sites for Public Uses' requires <br /> that anyone who subdivides land shall dedicate a portion of the properly or make a"payment-in- <br /> lieu"for recreation purposes. <br /> Presently the code stardom includes: <br /> Dedicate <br /> 1157 sure per lot quality land <br /> 1120 acre per of environmentally constrained land <br /> These standards are employed if the Recreation 8 Parks Advisory Board/ER08 determines that <br /> the subdivision area has public site suitability for dedication. However,this portion of the bothered <br /> has been rarely used because even a 100-unit site would only require 1.75 acre dedication (100 <br /> units times 1/57 acre)which is small and chains nor in central area service.
