~; <br />17 <br />CORPORATE AND STAFF QUALIFICATIONS <br />TRC is a full service cultural resources firm with extensive experience conducting all types of .cultural <br />resource projects, including archaeological investigations, historic structure surveys and evaluations, and <br />cemetery studies. Our local office is in Durham, North Carolina, and is supported by regional offices in <br />Atlanta, Columbia, and Nashville. We have maintained an office in the Raleigh-Durham area since 1990, <br />and have completed over 150 cultural resources projects in North Carolina. We have a permanent staff of <br />w :,._..: ...: y.. ,.... .. <br />approximately 45, including 12 m Durham, and additional temporary staff is hired as needed. We will <br />assign well-trained and experienced professionals to this project, including individuals experienced in the <br />archaeology of the North Carolina Piedmont. The administrative and technical staff will ensure that the <br />project is conducted in a technically excellent and cost'effective manner, and will further ensure that all <br />project-scheduling goals will be met. The Principal Irivestigator/Field Director is briefly introduced <br />below and a full resume is included in this package. Also enclosed is a copy of a report authored by Ms. <br />Millis detailing the results of a study commissioned by the Town of Chapel Hill Department of Solid <br />Waste Management. . <br />The Principal Investigator/Field Director for this project will be Ms. Heather Millis, a Senior <br />Archaeologist and Assistant Program Manager in the Durham office. Ms. Millis holds a M.A. in <br />Anthropology from the State University of New York at Albany, and has 15 years of experience in <br />archaeology. She has directed, managed, or authored the report of findings for a number of projects in the <br />North Carolina Piedmont. Ms. Millis meets the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for <br />Archaeology and Historic Preservation, is certified by the Register of Professional Archaeologists, and is <br />a member of the North Carolina Archaeological Council. <br />PROJECT EXAMPLES AND CONTACT INFORMATION . <br />TRC has conducted over two hundred cultural resource projects over the past five years.
