I am enclosing a copy of the local supplement <br />(MTIP) for the Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) <br />as well as the draft Orange County Program. The full version of the State TIP (STIP) may be <br />viewed on the NCDOT website (www.ncdot.org). <br />I have noted the following changes in the TIP Highway Program, with respect to projects in <br />Orange County, between the current 2002 - 2008 MTIP and the Draft 2004 - 2010 MTIP. <br />New projects <br />• Project I-4716: I-40, grind and seal joints from I-85 to the Durham County Line (FEY 07). <br />• Project E-4601: Morgan Creek Greenway, Chapel Hill, planning and design only. <br />• Project E-4710: Seawell School Rd., bicycle improvements from Homestead Rd. to <br />Estes Dr., scheduled for Feasibility Study. <br />• Project U-4704: Chapel Hill/Carrboro computerized traffic signal system (post years). <br />Previously "Unfunded" Projects Now Scheduled <br />• Project I-305: I-85, widen to six (6) lanes and reconstruct interchanges and structures <br />from I-40 at Hillsborough to the Durham County Line (R-O-W FFY 08 - <br />Post Years, Construction FFY 10 -Post Years). <br />
