While this project may not directly impact 9-1-1 and emergency response
agencies, cumulatively, additional development in the County will result in the need to
increase 9-1-1/emergency response staff.
2. The Mebane Fire Department will have to shuttle water from fire hydrants located on U.S.
Hwy 70 West for fire protection. Existing fire hydrants located on North Frazier Road are
inadequate for effective fire protection at this time due to inadequate water supplies. If
water lines and fire hydrants are to be installed in James Woods Subdivision, then
additional discussions will be necessary to identify needed upgrades to the existing water
lines on North Frazier Road.
If you need additional information, please contact us.
