<br />PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br />The Orange County Transportation Advisory Board will hold a Public Hearing on <br />November 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Central Orange/Hillsborough Senior Center 515 <br />Meadowlands Drive Hillsborough, N.C. in the activities room on the proposed FY 2004 <br />Community Transportation Program (CTP) application to be submitted to the N.C. <br />Department of Transportation by November 22, 2002. Public comments received will be <br />forwarded on to the N.C. Department of Transportation. <br />The Community Transportation Program provides assistance to coordinated existing <br />human service transportation programs in Orange County and to provide general public <br />transportation in rural Orange County. These services are currently provided by the <br />Orange Public Transportation (OPT) program to human service agencies and the general <br />public on fixed routes, deviated routes and demand response trips with the assistance of <br />local taxis. <br />The total amount requested is $426,632 for administrative and capital assistance for July <br />1, 2003 through June 30, 2004. The local matching share is $42,663 and the balance in <br />federaUstate funds is $383,969. <br />The application maybe reviewed at the Department on Aging -OPT Program, 300 West <br />Tryon Street, Hillsborough, N.C.
