Tonight's agenda offers opportunities to <br />discuss three potential joint projects: <br />1) Fairview Park <br />2) Other Parks and Recreation Projects <br />3) Justice Facilities Update <br />1. Fairview Park <br />Orange County owns 41 acres of land in the Fairview community north of Hillsborough slated <br />for a community park. A playground and youth baseball field currently exists at the park, <br />which has received a suitable geo-technical evaluation for use as a park. In the voter- <br />approved 2001 County Parks and Open Space bond, $850,000 was allocated for <br />construction of additional recreation facilities at Fairview Park. The inclusion of this project <br />was requested by the Town and approved by the Capital Needs Task Force and the County <br />Board of Commissioners. <br />
