These services <br /> include care provided by home health agencies, licensed home care agencies, hospice <br /> agencies, adult day care and adult day health care facilities, and home medical equipment <br /> companies. In-home health, hospice and community based services build upon a strong <br /> tradition of care and compassion and strive to keep families intact and responsible while <br /> preserving an individual's independence and dignity in the setting of their choice. <br /> These agencies deserve the public's support and thanks for the services they provide to <br /> individuals, families and the community as a whole. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with the proclamation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the proclamation <br /> designating November as "Home and Hospice Care Month" in Orange County and authorize the <br /> Chair to sign the proclamation. <br />
