TIME is designed to increase <br /> ownership and pride in the community, recognition and appreciation of local diversity, <br /> demonstrate the bright future of Orange County, and give homage to an historic past as the <br /> County celebrates its 2501h anniversary. <br /> TIME in 2002 focused on experiential learning to connect individuals and communities. <br /> Projects included art, interviewing, and photography to gather experiences of diverse <br /> cultures in Orange County. In the end participants made ceramic tiles that interpreted the <br /> narratives and visuals encountered during camp. The tiles will be mounted onto a concrete <br /> wall, the "Wall of.Reconciliation", for placement and dedication at the Efland-Cheeks <br /> Community School Park. <br /> The concept of the "Wall' was first shared with the Board via a memorandum in August. A <br /> depiction of the "Wall' was also presented to the Efland-Cheeks Task Force on October 23rd <br /> and received a positive reception from members in attendance. <br /> The "Wall of Reconciliation" will be flanked by a flagpole flying of the American and 4-H flags. <br /> The dimensions will be 8 feet by 3.5 feet high, constructed from 8 X 16 concrete blocks.
