The purpose of this Committee is to work with the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation and the Town to participate in the planning and design of a 10- <br /> foot wide asphalt and/or concrete multi-use path from Culbreth Road to Smith Level Road, with <br /> additional access to the Merritt Pasture. The creation of this Committee allows for citizens, <br /> nearby residents and property owners and neighboring jurisdictions to participate in the <br /> planning process. <br /> The Town of Chapel Hill, therefore, has asked the BOCC to identify a member to serve on this <br /> Committee. The office of the Clerk to the BOCC has recruited and has received several <br /> applications from interested citizens. <br /> The Chapel Hill Town Council plans to finalize the appointments to the Committee this month. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making an appointment to the Morgan Creek Trail <br /> Conceptual Plan Committee. <br />
