Edwards with Secondary.Road Chapel Hill 9684501 <br /> Addition Investigation Report for Roads In Piney Durham 6884331 <br /> Mountain Subdivision Mebane (336)227Q031 <br /> PURPOSE: To consider petitions to atltl Rhine Roatl, Eno Township, and Taproot Lane, Piney <br /> Bluff Court, Loblolly Court, Piney Hollow Court, Pine Needle Court and Pine Cone Lane, Chapel Hill <br /> Township,to the State-maintained Secondary Read System. <br /> BACKGROUND: Bi ine Road Residents of Rhine Road (10 homes) in Wyngate Lakes <br /> Subdivision have petitioned the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to accept' <br /> maintenance responsibilities her that road. Wyngate Lakes Subdivision, approved by the Board of <br /> Commissioners in September 1994, is located on the west side of Lawrence Road (SR 1]09) <br /> between IA5 and Old NC 10. <br /> Taproot L P'ney Bluff Court, Lto II Court. Piney Hollow rtP're Horrid Cort Pine <br /> Lane: Residents of Taproot Lane (access road into the subdivision), Piney Bluff Court (3 homes), <br /> Loblolly Court (4 homes), Piney Hollow Court (4 hones), Pine Needle Court (4 moll and Pine <br /> Cone Lane (11 homes) have pardoned NCDOT to accept maintenance responsibilities for those <br /> roads. The roads provide access to residents in Piney Mountain Subdivision. Piney Mountain <br /> Subdivision, approved by the Board of Commissioners in August 1987, is located off the north side <br /> of Mount Sinai Road (SR 1718) between Friends School Road and Kerley Road. Red Wolf at <br /> Piney Mountain Subdivision, a six-lot subdMlsion off Pine Cane Lane, was approved by the Board <br /> in May 1932. <br /> NCDOT has investigated these requests(see attached Secondary Road Addition Reports)and has <br /> submitted the Petitions to the Board of Commissioners for its review and approval. The Board must <br /> take an administrative action to approve the petitions to NCDOT in order for NCDOT to accept the <br /> subdivision roads into the State Maintenance Program. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with this decision Item. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONfil The Administration recommends that the Board approve the request to <br /> atltl Rhine Road, Taproot Lane, Piney Bluff Court, Loblolly Court, Piney Hollow Court, Pine Needle <br /> Court, and Pine Cone Lane to the State Secondary Road Maintenance Program. <br />
