The Norm Camden Department of Commerce's Division of <br /> Community Assistance was selected to possible facilitation support services and report <br /> preparation services for the project. <br /> On May 25,1999 the CFRA Board of Directors initiated the strategic planning proses by <br /> participating m a evaluating seaden"to identify the four most important issues contributing to <br /> the future success of the organizations. The visioning session employed a consensus building <br /> process which resulted in the selection of the following four key issues facing the oQgm flon: <br /> • Broaden the Participation Base <br /> • EducadeBTubfic Awareness <br /> • Funding Support <br /> • WateBesource Management homes <br /> A task force was farmed to examine each issue ta detail.and to di develop recommendations for due CFRABoard of Directors' <br /> nsideratiion. Mare than ]0 people representing many diverse <br /> organizations participated on the task forces. Throughout the <br /> study phase of the project each took force met atleast live times <br /> to: <br /> • Develop a mission statement relative to the issue; <br /> • Analyze the acne m detail; <br /> • identify gk,define policies,set target abject relating to the have; re <br /> • Develop procedures; <br /> • Ideal resources; <br /> • Set a timetable for implementation; <br /> • Rank the priori of each itemttarget objective; <br /> • Determine the benefit level of each item/targat <br /> objective; and <br /> • Develop ass"Action Plan". <br /> Each of the task farces completed their work in December,1999. The task farce reports were <br /> consolidated into a"draft"final report which was approved by the CF'RA Esecutiva <br /> Committee on January 20,2000. A considerable amount of time and effort has been <br /> contributed by each person participating in the Cli Strategic Planning Process. The <br /> result is an asserted comprehensive tool to guide the Assembly as it continues to vhengthed <br />
