Durham 688-7331 <br /> Presented again 9/3/02, but Board Mebane 336-227-2031 <br /> requested more recruitment be done. <br /> PURPOSE: To consider making an appointment to the Jury Commission. <br /> BACKGROUND: One citizen appointment is made by the Board of Commissioners. One <br /> appointment is made by the Senior Resident Superior Court Judge, and the third appointment is <br /> made by the Clerk of Superior Court. This Commission reviews the list of potential jurors and <br /> prepares the Master Jury List annually. <br /> The third two (2)-year term of the B.O.C.C. member, Ms. Judy Cox, expired June 30, 2002 and <br /> she is not eligible for reappointment. Recruitment has been done by staff in the office of the <br /> Clerk to the B.O.C.C., and four applications have been received. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making an appointment to the Jury Commission for a <br /> two-year term to expire June 30, 2004. <br />
