The Orange County Commission for Women, the Women's Center, <br /> the Rape Crisis Center and the Orange County Family Violence Prevention Center are <br /> sponsoring the "March for Justice" candlelight vigil on October 291 at 5:30 p.m. The march will <br /> begin and end at the Post Office on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Other activities include self- <br /> defense workshops, an information booth at the State Fair, a billboard campaign by the North <br /> Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and women's empowerment workshops and <br /> seminars across the Triangle. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the Proclamation <br /> and authorize the Chair to sign it. <br />
