3Of <br /> Little River Park meeting <br /> August 28, 2002 <br /> Durham County Managers Office <br /> 1.There was agreement on desire to complete work'on interlocal agreement and <br /> have both county boards sign off by October. <br /> - Durham and Orange attorneys will work together on revising 8/29 draft <br /> - Attorney's will work on mutual aid agreements for both EMS and Sheriff <br /> - Mutual aid agreement(s)might be an exhibit to the interlocal agreement <br /> - Managers will contact respective sheriff depts. to discuss their involvement <br /> 2. There was agreement on 50-50 cost share for park operation and mgmt. <br /> 3. There was agreement on revising draft interocal to include some way of <br /> sharing in the cost of unforeseen expenses for park O&M consistent with county <br /> policies for handling budget amendments. <br /> 4. There was agreement that there could be cost sharing for future land <br /> acquisition for the park, to be negotiated on case-by-case basis. <br /> 5. There was agreement on Orange moving forward with relocating existing <br /> house from Heritage Hills subdivision to park for park manager/caretaker <br /> residence. Orange will find out how if any of the FEMA funds may/will go toward <br /> the relocation. <br /> 6. There was agreement that when and if there is a Phase II park development, <br /> the two counties will discuss the possibility of allowing individual camping at the <br /> park. <br /> 7. There was initial/general agreement with the preliminary concept plan <br /> B. There was agreement on proceeding with LRPAC meeting for presenting <br /> preliminary concept plan. Staff to schedule for late Sept. .[Public meeting would <br /> follow sometime in October.] <br />
