Park Manager/Caretaker Residence—the agreement will note that a park <br /> manager residence will be established near the main entrance to the park in a <br /> manner mutually agreed upon by the two county boards. <br /> Budget and Funding -- the agreement will specify each county's share of funding <br /> for park development, operation and maintenance. Roles and responsibilities for the <br /> handling of payments, revenues, reports, audits, and insurance will also be <br /> addressed. <br /> Park Development-- the agreement will describe the roles and responsibilities for <br /> the park construction, trail development, hazards removal, supervision of volunteers, <br /> and direction to contractors during park development. <br /> Operation and Maintenance—the agreement will describe the roles and <br /> responsibilities for park staffing, park monitoring/oversight, rules enforcement, <br /> opening/closing of gate(s), opening/closing of trails (e.g., inclement weather), public <br /> information, supervision of volunteers, etc. Also, for maintaining grounds and <br /> buildings/ structures, including mowing, trash pick-up, restrooms, repairs, etc. <br /> Security and Public Safety—the agreement will describe the roles and <br /> responsibilities for the health and safety of visitors, emergency response, response <br /> to theft, adjacent landowner needs, etc. Reciprocal agreements will be needed for <br /> jurisdictions to handle these matters on park property located across the county line. <br /> Duration — the agreement will specify a period of time covered by the agreement <br /> and the process for agreement renewal and termination. <br />
