HUD <br /> proposes that the Department receive an additional $20,000 in Partnership Initiative Funds for <br /> the specific purpose of"obtaining services or conduct activities inside and outside of the agency <br /> that affirmatively furthers the implementation and scope of the Agency's fair housing law." <br /> During FFY 2001, the Department received Partnership Initiative Funds in the amount of <br /> $25,000 to conduct a fair housing audit, the results of which will be released this fall. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: This reflects funds that were not anticipated during the formulation of the <br /> Human Rights and Relations Department budget this past spring. Should the Commissioners <br /> approve the receipt of these additional funds, a corresponding budget amendment will be <br /> prepared for Board approval at its September 17, 2002 meeting. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board approve the Amendment to <br /> the Cooperative Agreement and authorize the Chair to sign the agreement. <br />
