Summary of Requested <br /> Changes/Recommendations <br />PURPOSE <br />The Board of Aldermen held a public hearing on May 7, 2002 to receive comment an proposed changes to <br />the Land Use Ordinance related to Village Mixed-Use and Office/Assembly developments. The Board <br />continued this public hearing until May 28, 2U02 in order to allow the Planning Board to complete its review <br />of the proposed amendment. The Administration recommends that the .Board of Aldermen adopt the <br />proposed ordinance, with noted modifications. <br />Robert L. Chapman, III and other associates in the Winmore Land Management LLC submitted a request for <br />land use ordinance amendments related to the design of a village mixed-use development. A draft ordinance <br />that addressed this request, and included changes related to office/assembly developments as well, was <br />prepared and presented for public review on May 7, 20Q2. A number of citizens offered comments on the <br />draft ordinance, as noted in the minutes of the meeting (Attachment B). The Board of Aldremen continued <br />the public hearing to May 28, at the request of the Planning Board, in order to allow additional time fvr that <br />Board to complete its review of the draft ordinance. The Planning Board completed its review on May 1b. <br />All advisory board recommendations are attached (Attachment C?. <br />A summary of the requested changes, annotated with comments and recommendations, is also attached <br />(Attachment L1). <br />ADMINISTRATION'S RECOMMENDATION <br />The Administration recommends that the 13aard of Aldermen adopt the draft ordinance (Attachment A) with <br />noted modifications. <br />
