The minutes from the hearing are <br />included as Attachment B to item D(1) from the May 28 Board of Aldermen meeting referenced <br />above (the complete agenda for the hearing can be accessed at www.ci.carrboro.nc.us/Mayor $~ <br />Board of AldermenlMeeting Agendas/Item D(3)). <br />The LUC3 amendments are applicable throughout Carrboro's planning jurisdiction, which <br />includes the Northern Transition Area {NTA}. Pursuant to the Joint Planning Agreement, the <br />amendments were submitted to Orange County for review, but without the context of their <br />potential usage in an upcoming rezoning application involving the proposed Winmore <br />development. <br />The Board of Aldermen voted on the amendments on May 28, 2002, approving, or approving <br />with modifications, all but two of the 18 proposed changes. Those not approved were: <br />1. Allow Board of Aldermen to approve projects whose development standards do not specifically <br />meet all provisions spelled out in the LOO. <br />2. Allow sidewalks and walkways to be brick or concrete with brick borders no longer required. <br />Agenda item D(1) from the May 28 Board of Aldermen meeting is included as an attachment. <br />Winmore and the LUO amendments were discussed at County Commissioner meetings on <br />June 6 and again on June 24.
