2. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 1966, authorizing the County
<br />of Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and all
<br />other debt which said County may now or hereafter have power or authority
<br />to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Sanitary Sewer Bonds in an
<br />aggregage principal amount not exceeding $90,000 for the purpose of providin
<br />funds, with any other available funds, for the construction of a sanitary
<br />sewer system in Orange County, including the acquisition of necessary land
<br />and rights of way, and authorizing the levy and collection of a sufficient
<br />tax for the payment of the principal of and the interest on said bonds, be
<br />approved?
<br />. Section 2. For said bond election the regular registration books for
<br />elections in said County shall be used and such books shall be open for the
<br />registration of voters not theretofore registered from 9 A.M. until sunset on each
<br />day, beginning Saturday, November 19, 1966 and closing Saturday, December 3, 1966.
<br />On each Saturday during such registration period such books shall be open at the
<br />polling places. Saturday, December 10, 1966, shall be Challenge Day.
<br />Qualified voters who registered in the new registration held for the
<br />general election of November 8, 1966 and have not moved their residence from one
<br />precinct to another are registered for the special bond election. Qualified voters
<br />who are not certain whether they are registered should contact the County Board of
<br />Elections at the office of said Board in Hillsborough.
<br />Section 3. The Register of Deeds and ex officio Clerk of the Board of
<br />Commissioners shall cause a notice to be published in The News of Orange County at
<br />least thirty days before the election, and thereafter three times before the election
<br />at intervals of at least one week between publications, reading substantially as
<br />follows:
<br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION
<br />and
<br />SUPPLEMENTAL REGISTRATION
<br />in the
<br />COUNTY OF ORANGE, NORTH CAROLINA
<br />A special bond election will be held throughout Orange County between 6:30
<br />A.M. and 6:30 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, December 13, 1966, at which
<br />there will be submitted to the qualified voters of said County the following
<br />questions:
<br />1. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 1966, authorizing the
<br />County of Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any
<br />and all other debt which said County may now or hereafter have power or
<br />authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Water Bonds in
<br />an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $560,000 for the purpose of
<br />providing funds, with any other available funds, for the construction
<br />of a waterworks system in Orange County, including the construction of
<br />a dam and water storage facilities, the installation of mains and lines,
<br />and the acquisition of necessary land and rights of way, and authorizing
<br />the levy and collection of a sufficient tax for the payment of the
<br />principal of and the interest on said bonds, be approved?
<br />2. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 1966, authorizing the County
<br />of Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and
<br />all other debt which said County may now or hereafter have power or
<br />authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Sanitary Sewer

<br />purpose for which the bonds are authorized by the order referred to in said question.
<br />If said bonds are issued a tax will be levied for the payment of the
<br />principal and interest thereof on all taxable property in Orange County.
<br />For said election the regular registration books for elections in said
<br />County will be used and such books will be open for the registration of voters, not
<br />theretofore registered, from 9 A.M. until sunset on each day beginning Saturday,
<br />November 19, 1966 and closing Saturday, December 3, 1966. On each Saturday during
<br />such registration period said books will be open at the polling places. Saturday,
<br />December 10, 1966, is Challenge Day.
