9 <br />Goal #S Concurrent to Goal #3 <br />Increase neighborhood sustainability during disasters <br />Objective #S <br />Instruct citizens on how to assist neighbors during disasters <br />Measurement #S <br />Reduce by 50% the number of assistance calls to neighborhoods containing CERT volunteers <br />within the first 72 hours of a disaster. This would be measured by tabulating the number of calls <br />for service to that neighborhood area during the first 72 hours as collected by the 9-1-1 center <br />and compare that number to a previous similar disaster that affected the same area. Interviews of <br />responders and CERT members who worked in the area would also be included. <br />9 <br />
