WORK EXPERIENCE: Since receiving my master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1980, I have been employed in the field of rehabilitation as a direct service provider to people with disabilities. For the past seven and a half years I have worked for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in the Chapel Hill Unit office. In my present role, I coordinate the Employment Marketing Skills Program, which entails assisting our job ready clients with all aspects of their job development and placement needs. VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE: Currently, I prepare and serve food at the Interfaith Council one Saturday per month. I have also adopted a highway through the state's Adopt-A-Highway program and maintain a weekly litter pick-up of my stretch of highway (Old 86 between the McDougal schools (Hillsborough Road and Old Fayetteville) and Homestead Road).
