<br />2. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 1966, authorizing the County
<br />Of-Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt 'in addition to - any and'all
<br />.other. debt which said County-may-now or hereafter have power or authority
<br />to-contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Sanitary Sewer Bonds in an
<br />aggregate principal amount not exceeding $90,000 for the purpose of
<br />providing funds, with any other available funds, for the construction of a
<br />sanitary sewer system in Orange County, including the acquisition of
<br />necessary land and rights of way, and authorizing the levy and collection
<br />of a sufficient tax for the payment of the principal of and the interest
<br />on said bonds, be approved?
<br />Section 2. That for said election the regular registration books for elections
<br />in said County shall be used and such books shall be open for the registration of
<br />voters not theretofore registered from 9:00 A.(H-: until sunset on each day, beginning
<br />Saturday, October 15, 1966, and closing on Saturday, October 29, 1966. On each
<br />Saturday during such registration period such books shall be open at the polling
<br />places.. Saturday, November 5, 1966, shall be Challenge Day. For said election the
<br />registrars and judges appointed for the general election shall act as registrars and
<br />Section 3. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners shall cause a notice
<br />to be published in The News of Orange County at least thirty days before said
<br />election, and thereafter twice before said election at intervals of at least one
<br />week between publications, reading substantially as follows:

<br />BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, NORTH CAROLINA
<br />TO THE VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY
<br />ON NOVEMBER 8, 1966
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the general election, the same being the regular
<br />election for County officers, to be held in the County of Orange between 6:30 A.M.
<br />and 6:30 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, November 8, 1966, and at the same
<br />places at which such election will be held (being the same places at which the last
<br />preceding election for members of the General Assembly was held with such changes as
<br />may have been ordered pursuant to law), there will be submitted to the qualified
<br />voters of the County of Orange the following questions:
<br />1. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 1966authorizing the County of
<br />Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and all other
<br />debt which said County may now or hereafter have power or authority to con-
<br />tract, and in evidence thereof to issue Water Bonds in an aggregate
<br />principal amount not exceeding $560,000 for the purpose of providing funds,
<br />with any other available funds, for the construction of a waterworks
<br />system in Orange County, including the construction of a dam and water
<br />storage facilities, the installation of mains and lines, and the acqui.sitio
<br />of necessary land and rights of way, and authorizing the levy and collectio
<br />of a sufficient tax for the payment of the principal of and the interest on
<br />said bonds, be approved?
<br />2. Shall an order finally passed on October 3, 19667 authorizing the County of
<br />Orange, North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and all othe
<br />debt which said County may now or hereafter have power or authority to con-
<br />tract, and in evidence thereof to issue Sanitary Sewer Bonds in an aggregat
<br />principal amount not exceeding $90,000 for the purpose of providing funds,
<br />with any other available funds, for the construction of a sanitary sewer
<br />system in Orange County, including the acquisition of necessary land and
<br />rights of way, and authorizing the levy and collection of a sufficient tax
<br />for the payment of the principal of and the interest on said bonds, be
<br />approved?
<br />Each of the questions hereinabove set forth contains a statement of the purpose
<br />for which the bonds are authorized by the order referred to in said question.
<br />If said bonds are issued a tax will be levied upon all taxable property in the
<br />County of Orange for the payment of the principal of and the interest on said bonds.
<br />For said election the regular registration books for elections in said County
<br />will be used, and such books will be open for the registration of voters, not there-
<br />tofore registered, from 9:00 A.M. until sunset on each day beginning Saturday,
<br />October 15, 1966 and closing Saturday, October 29, 1966. On each Saturday during
<br />such registration period said books will be open at the polling places. Saturday,
<br />November 5, 1966, is Challenge Day.
<br />The registrars and judges appointed for the general election will act as
<br />registrars and judges.
