Oxbow Crossing is located off the east side of <br />Bethel-Hickory Grove Church Road, approximately 320 feet south of Dairyland Road, Chapel Hill <br />Township. The Board approved Oxbow Crossing Subdivision in August 1997. <br />Nancy Drive, North English Hill Lane, South English Hill Lane: Residents on Nancy Drive (1 home), <br />North English Hill Lane (16 homes) and South English Hill Lane (10 homes) in English Hill <br />Subdivision have petitioned the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to accept <br />maintenance responsibilities for those roads. English Hill Subdivision is located off the east side of <br />Gwen Road on the north of US 70 Bypass in the Town of Hillsborough's Extra Territorial <br />Jurisdiction. The Hillsborough Board of Commissioners approved English Hill Subdivision in 1998. <br />Staffield Lane, Brendan Court: Residents of Staffield Lane (8 homes) and Brendan Court (10 <br />homes) have petitioned NCDOT to accept maintenance responsibilities for that road. The roads <br />are located in Highlands North Subdivision off the north side of Tallyho Trail (SR 2213) in the Town <br />of Carrboro's Transition Area. The Carrboro Board of Aldermen approved Highlands North <br />Subdivision in June 1996. <br />NCDOT has investigated these requests (please refer to attached Secondary Road Addition <br />Reports) and has submitted the petitions to the Board of Commissioners for its review and <br />approval. The Board must take an administrative action to approve the petitions to NCDOT in <br />order for NCDOT to accept the roads into the State Maintenance Program. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with this item. <br />
