Sustainably balance rural and urban areas; <br />2. Direct growth and development away from important natural and cultural resources and <br />towards areas mare able to support municipal services and urban densities; <br />3.. To provide working farms with an alternative income potential; and <br />4. To link zoning densities to comprehensive plan goals and policies. <br />Taskforce members may be chosen from the fallowing general sectors, including, but not limited <br />to: local governments, advisory boards, banking and finance, private sector community/ <br />neighborhood groups, utilities, developers, lawyers, agriculture, planning, natural areas <br />advocacy, real estate, and environmental protection. <br />Previous appointments to the TDR taskforce have filled the majority of stakeholder sectors <br />suggested by the consultant. Having been in recent conversation with the consultant, staff <br />recommends that the TDR Taskforce will be an efficient board at approximately 15 <br />members. <br />The remaining stakeholder sectors yet unfilled include: <br />advisory board (e.g. <br />design/planning if the <br />attached who can fulfill <br />Planning Board), and possibly <br />existing appointee in that secto <br />these interest areas. <br />the local government, utility, statutory, <br />natural areas advocate and/or urban <br />r cannot attend.
