Staff, in consultation with the County Attorney's Office, believes that <br />the language should not include the words "up to", as this language is overly <br />discretionary and could lead to discrepancies in penalty assessments. A "flat <br />penalty" of $500 will result in simplified assessment calculation. <br />Process <br />1) Public Hearing held on February 24, 2003. <br />2) Ordinance Review Committee meeting held on April 2, 2003. <br />3) Planning Board meeting held on April 2, 2003. On April 2, 2003, the Planning Board, on a <br />unanimous vote, recommended that the BOCC adopt the proposed changes. <br />4) BOCC to close public hearing and make final decision. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: No public financial impact associated with this action. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />Administration recommends APPROVAL of the proposed Ordinance. <br />Planning Board recommends APPROVAL of the proposed Ordinance. <br />Planning Staff recommends APPROVAL of the proposed Ordinance. <br />G/Current Planning/robertlfinal enforcement documents/ bocc abstract 6 26 2003 <br />
