OP C Area P ro ram <br /> g <br /> <br />To: Orange County Board of County Commissioners <br /> Attention: Moses Carey, Chair <br />From: Judy R, Truitt, Area Director <br />CC: .lohn Link Gwen Harvey <br />Date: 9/26/2005 <br />Re: Request to Release One-Time Supplemental Funding to OPC/LME to <br />Facilitate Divestiture of EIFS/OC & KidScope <br />OPC Area Program has successfully completed the negotiation process for <br />divestiture of EIFS/OC & KidScope to Chapel Hill Training & Outreach Project, Inc <br />(CHTOP). Transfer of operational management is expected to occur on October 1, <br />2005 and I would request that the BOCC approve the release of one-time <br />supplemental filnding to facilitate the divestiture of this program, <br />In an effort to assure successful transition of the service program, the BOCC and <br />OPC Area/LME Boards agreed to provide bridge funding for EIFS/OC & KidScope <br />equal to one-month operating expenses or $93,882. OPC Area/LME Boards <br />approved the use of continuation of effort monies already provided to OPC from the <br />counties and staff set aside $36,414 for this program.
