464 <br />Dr. 0. David Garvin, District Health Officer, presented Dr. Bill Hollister and <br />Dr. Morgan to the Board to explain a Mental Health project which was being <br />sponsored by The University of North Carolina and State Health Department, and <br />which they hoped to locate in one of the Piedmont counties. Discussion ensued <br />concerning Orange County's attitude towards such a project. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, and <br />unanimously adopted, it was agreed that if Orange County is selected as the target <br />county for the Mental Health Project that the county does indorse the Mental <br />Health project as presented by Dr. Hollister and will cooperate in the development <br />of such project plans. <br />Discussion ensued concerning the proposed 1966-1967 budget. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was <br />adjourned to meet again on July 7, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. in the Commissioners room <br />at the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Harvey D. Bennett, Commissioners William C. Ray, <br />Carl M. Smith, Gordon Cleveland and Henry S. Walker. <br />Members absent: None <br />The purpose of this meeting was to continue discussion of the proposed 1966-196 <br />County budget. <br />The meeting lasted until 10:30 P.M. at which time the Board adjourned to meet <br />again on Tuesday, July 12, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was <br />adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
