Removal of two board <br /> members by the BOCC on April 21. <br /> Thank you to Jerry Gergory and GiGi <br /> Rashdi for your years of service to <br /> our board and support to the <br /> Master Aging Plan Implementation <br /> and Development.You will be <br /> greatly missed. <br /> 11 b.Vacancies and <br /> recommendations for <br /> appointments.Janice shared the <br /> previously chosen two potential <br /> board members could not attend <br /> meetings during business hours, <br /> meaning they are not viable options <br /> for board members. Dan said he <br /> knows an applicant, Carla Julian, <br /> and shared his support for her <br /> joining the board.Janice shared <br /> that some applications were <br /> submitted some time ago and we <br /> may need to do some outreach to <br /> receive new ones. Rachel's term <br /> will be up in July and we will need to <br /> fill her spot then as well.The board <br /> wants Jerry to re-apply to join the <br /> board.Janice is going to invite <br /> Michelle Handy and Carla Julian to <br /> our next meeting. <br /> 4. Committee 12. Senior Tar Heel Legislature— No action N/A N/A <br /> Progress Reports if Vibeke Talley, STHL Delegate and <br /> needed Rafael Velez, STHL alternate <br /> delegate.Vibeke shared they are <br /> meeting with legislators next week <br /> to discuss pressing aging issues. <br /> June 2 and 3 will be the statewide <br /> Department on Aging I Page 4 of 6 <br />
