Trails Plan. On July 1"the draft plan will be presented to the Planning Board. The health <br /> department, and department on aging advisory boards have been invited to review and <br /> comment but these are not yet scheduled. The PRC will review the plan again in August <br /> for final recommendations. <br /> Report of the Director <br /> a. Project/Program Updates—The County Manager presented his proposed budget to the <br /> BOCC on May 5, and there was a request to explore options for additional cost <br /> reductions. Included in the proposed budget were increases to fees for adult <br /> programming, tournament reservations, and shelter reservations. However, there was a <br /> request to reevaluate expenses and revenues for all County departments. Robinson <br /> updated the PRC on the recent disc golf meeting with representatives from the New <br /> Hope Bird Alliance, disc golf advocates, DEAPR staff, and a professional facilitator. The <br /> group walked the proposed path to identify any areas that need relocation. Staff is <br /> hopeful that a compromise can be reached, and a final design can be adopted for <br /> construction to begin in the fall. <br /> Council and Committee Reports <br /> a. Intergovernmental Parks Work Group—April 9, 2025— Robinson attended the April 91h <br /> IPWG meeting. The IPWG is comprised of representatives from multiple parks <br /> organizations and meets biannually. Chapel Hill and Hillsborough presented their <br /> respective greenways plans and Stancil presented the J Branch Rail Trail Feasibility <br /> Study. <br /> b. Items for the Council/Sharing of Volunteer Opportunities— none <br /> Adjournment: Robinson adjourned the meeting at 7:50pm <br /> Next Meeting: June 3 (Hillsborough) <br />
