Evidence of Collaborations/Partnerships (10 points, page limit: not to exceed 1 % pages)
EI Futuro has a long-standing commitment to collaboration with community-based
organizations, health providers, schools, and faith-based institutions in Orange County, ensuring
culturally and linguistically appropriate services for Latino youth, young adults, and caregivers.
Through the SBIRT Early Intervention Program, EI Futuro will strengthen existing partnerships
and establish new collaborations to enhance early identification, prevention, and referral for
substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Key partnerships include organizations with strong connections to historically underserved
Latino communities, including Justice United, EI Centro Hispano, United Church of Chapel Hill,
and the Orange County Partnership for Alcohol and Drug-Free Youth Coalition, among others.
These collaborations will support outreach, psychoeducation, SBIRT screenings, caregiver
engagement, and connections to behavioral health services, creating a coordinated network of
early intervention supports. Other partners include Orange County Rape Crisis Center, Holy
Family Catholic Church, St Thomas More Catholic Church, Efland Community Center, and others.
To avoid duplication of services, EI Futuro actively maps community resources and maintains
communication with local health departments, harm reduction programs, and behavioral health
providers. The organization participates in county-level opioid response and behavioral health
coalitions, sharing program plans and updates to ensure that services complement existing
initiatives and fill identified gaps in early intervention and culturally responsive care.
Community engagement is further enhanced through youth and family advisory councils, which
provide feedback on service delivery, program relevance, and emerging needs. These
mechanisms ensure that interventions are tailored to the local population while leveraging
existing partnerships to maximize reach and impact.
By integrating multiple stakeholders into program implementation, the SBIRT Early Intervention
Program will strengthen local infrastructure for substance use prevention, foster sustainable
collaboration, and improve equitable access to culturally responsive behavioral health services
across Orange County.
F.
